Education

I am a Senior English/Secondary Education major at Rhode Island College. I'm not sure of my GPA, but I know it's in the upper 3 range.

Experience

My composite SAT score was a 1930, and I have taken numerous English courses. My goal is to become a teacher, (and I have taken many Education courses as well) so I believe tutoring is a good fit for me. I think that teaching writing is one the most important things that unfortunately is not taught very well until the college level, and even then usually only briefly.

Hobbies

I play 3 instruments (trumpet, guitar, piano) and music is my other passion (besides teaching and literature). I love to write poetry, and am Vice President of a spoken-word poetry group at RIC. I think reading and writing (particularly writing) are some of the most important things we can be doing on a regular basis. I am also a food lover (and cook on a regular basis).
